Even history has to keep up. The Golden Lamb in Lebanon is fully imbued with the story of Ohio's past, going back to its origins in 1803. But an inn and restaurant serving patrons of 2019 can't just remain as it is.
Some recent innovations are updating the historic look, with a remodel of the Black Horse Tavern and the Dickens dining room. And they're trying something that's circling back to old ways of doing things that have new relevance: They've started a farm several miles from the inn, raising some of their own produce.
